Two New Grand Houses, Maidenhead

Our clients (brothers) bought an Edwardian detached house on a large site with the design brief to MGA to create two 6 bed 6 bathroom spacious homes, one for each brother.

The brothers have always lived next to one another and having created a successful business for themselves that they sold to finance the purchase and construction, they saw this as a new venture in becoming their first development project; a new business. The designs were required to be neo-classical, with large portico, and enormous rooms throughout. We were commissioned to produce the design and detail drawings and to gain statutory consents, and to support the build process and monitor the work undertaken by others. They carried out all the construction work themselves, which for two 600sq.m buildings was no mean feat. They completed the work after two years on site (with a little help from us and engineers HAC) and are justifiably proud of what they have achieved.
