Two Large Modern Eco Homes - Berkshire

Client's brief was for two very large contemporary homes to be designed for their site within Green Belt close to the entrance of a town centre.

The design brief required 8 double bedrooms and bathrooms, large open plan kitchen / dining / living/ indoor cinema, gymnasium, office / library, private meditation area, and an indoor / outdoor swimming pool. In addition, garaging for cars was to be located out of site and secure.

With the site's sloping nature, the design was able utilise this characteristic to set the building into the landscape, with rooms off internal patio gardens providing natural daylight. Initial discussions with planners has been encouraging.
